The School of Esoteric Astrology (Ezoterik Astroloji Okulu) is a house of light founded by a group of seekers on the path of spiritual discovery and wisdom. Starting from the teachings of Alice A. Bailey and the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul, we aim to bring astrological knowledge together with spiritual transformation.
Why we exist
Years of accumulated work made a need visible to a group of sincere seekers. The need may have existed before, but we could not see it. Our years with the teachings of Alice A. Bailey, the books we translated, the compilations, lessons and videos we prepared, made us sensitive to it.
Does personality-centred astrology meet our deeper needs today? Our answer to this question is the reason the School exists. The source of esoteric astrology is clear, yet for a long time it was not visible in Turkey, and its content was at times distorted. We try to keep the teaching clean and to cite its source.
A room in the house of Jewels of Light
The School is a natural part of Işığın Mücevherleri (Jewels of Light). Think of it as the rooms of a house: you receive guests in the living room, not the bedroom; which room is opened depends on the need of the one who comes. The School is one room of the shared plan, arranged for a particular need.
Anatolia
Anatolia is an ancient land that has hosted many civilisations. The needs of the intelligences living in this land are felt by its more sensitive people. We may call them students, because they work for the inner side of things and take their impressions more from the soul than from the personality. We came together to contribute to the change in our country's fields of consciousness during the transition to the Aquarian Age.
Our sources
The first step is H. P. Blavatsky, the second Alice A. Bailey, and for world disciples the third is Bodo Balsys. Since much of Blavatsky's work was carried forward by Bailey, most of our attention is on Bailey's books. We keep our courses on this line: Introduction to the Seven Rays, Introduction to Esoteric Astrology and Zodiac Mythologies.
We do not give certificates
Our studies carry no certificate or international accreditation. When speaking of an esoteric subject, what does a certificate, an external device for easing insecurity, actually represent? A student's level shows in their work, through heart and mind. We do not consider the Piscean ideas of authority, accreditation and external approval suitable for the path of discipleship.
Discipleship
Disciples are people who serve the world plan as far as their capacity for love allows. They do not aim at results; they take inspiration from causes and observe the world's need according to the ray energies they work with. Our faith in a lighted future, the high ethics of the consuming fire, our respect for the Masters of the Path and the principles we will not fall below are the reminders that guide us.
However hard the existence and expression of a group may be, may what is here be of use to our fellow travellers. Without settling for less, let us keep working together for the house of light as far as our means allow.
